George Ezra is nominated in the Artist to Watch category at the glittering event, which takes place on 30 August and will be hosted by Miley Cyrus in Los Angeles.

Gary Emmins, Senior Lecturer in Video, said: “This is a major achievement in Rob’s personal career, but it also stands as an example of what students can achieve from the education provided at Bucks New University.

“Rob was always a strong, enthusiastic student and I would like to think we nurtured his incredible talent in the degree course.

“As a part of the music video course here at Bucks he worked with artists such as Amanda Palmer’s The Dresden Dolls, and The Go Team, both of whom are internationally-known independent music acts.

“It is amazing to see Rob’s progress since gaining his first experiences in music videos with us and it’s flattering to see him doing so well. It makes it all seem worthwhile and long may it last.”
