Why did you choose Bucks New University to study this course?
I had been working in Early Years for 15 years and this course would give me the chance to further my career within Education. With aspirations to teach in the early years but also raising young children I needed a degree that I could take alongside working. The Bucks degree offered the chance to enhance my current practice and give me the knowledge and skills to progress further.
What are your fondest memories/What was the best thing about studying this course?
Meeting fellow students that all worked in the same profession and sharing good practice examples to improve my own setting. The support that I received from the tutors who had first hand experience of working in the profession and therefore understood the real life challenges that came with studying, workings and raising a family at the same time
Where were your placements? What positive experiences/learning did you take away?
I was employed for the duration of the course but the knowledge I gained improved all areas of the workplace.
What are your plans/the next steps after graduating?
Any other comments you would like to make about your time spent at Bucks New University?
I would and have highly recommended the course to many other people within the early years sector. I have become far more competent at my job because of the degree I have completed and have gained more confidence in my role.
The whole course is well run with excellent lectures and support. It has enhanced my desire to continue studying for further qualifications and given me a determination to keep up to date with current thinking within the profession.
