Why did you choose Bucks New University to study this course?
After working as a health care assistant within one of the largest mental health trusts in the UK I wanted to further my career and qualify as a nurse and gain a degree. Bucks New stood out amongst the other universities as it seemed a vibrant and absorbing place to study with a dedicated nursing campus.
What are your fondest memories/What was the best thing about studying this course?
My fondest memories are of having fun in lectures but also learning a great deal.
The best thing about studying at Bucks is that you gain all the knowledge and skills you need to practice but you have a lot of fun doing it as well. It never seemed like hard work.
Where were your placements? What positive experiences/learning did you take away?
My placements were very positive, I’ve made lasting friends, enduring support networks and fond memories.
What are your plans/the next steps after graduating?
I am currently working as a staff nurse in the world’s oldest mental health hospital, The Bethlem Royal. I plan to cement my knowledge and train as a mentor and then hopefully move up the ladder!
Any other comments you would like to make about your time spent at Bucks New University?
Bucks New University is a fantastic place to study. I enjoyed my time there immensely. I was supported, nurtured and educated to the highest level by a team of fantastic nursing educators.
No other university would come close to the experience I had at Bucks.
I will miss it dearly.
